Alessia Della Casa
Born in Tessin, Alessia Della Casa graduated from the Classical Dance Academy of Riga (Latvia), where she has lived for three years, and attended a  post-graduation degree via a full scholarship with the Cunningham Studio in New York, where she spent six years.
Here she performed with several coreographer and companies, amongs which Vanessa Tamburi FLUSSO Dance Project, Olsi Gjeci, Anita Cheng, Sally Bowden.

She is currently working on a choreographic research originating several performances presented throughout Switzerland and NYC. Her personal developmental projects includes experiences with the Choreographic Lab 2014 (Luzern, CH), Losone Summer Residency (CH 2014).
She also completed a six months course in Dance Education at 92nd Street Y, New York, exploring the role of movement in education and ways of learning through movement and dance. In 2016 she obtained a Certificate for Advanced Studies in performing with the Dimitri Theatre Academy.
She has been teaching classical and modern dance at 92stY and Dance Cavise and creative movement at the Italian School G. Marconi in NYC.
Actively involved in organising contemporary dance events, she is among the founders of the Festival Ticino in Danza, of which she is also art director, and cooperates with the IDACO NY based platform for Italia Choreographers.

She is also a certified GYROTONIC and GIRIKINESIS teacher and works daily on body mechanics, trying to educate her students to good posture and using movement as a health and longevity practice
