Wanted II: Dancers for a project by Needcompany
Grace Ellen Barkey, Jan Lauwers and Needcompany are looking for ten young and enthusiastic dancers (male and female) to take part in a project for the 2014 steirischer herbst festival.
The participants, preferably living in Austria and nearby, need to speak English or French as their first or second language. They need to have a certain amount of experience in dance (school or performance experience). Dancing skills take priority, but being able to sing and/or play an instrument is an additional advantage.
They should have no problem with being naked on stage. As well as casual clothes, participants should bring an attractive, sexy outfit and sensual, white underwear with them, as well as old clothes and old shoes that can be destroyed.
This is the ultimate challenge: to engage in a creation with the Belgium-based Needcompany ensemble, where they can, as young performers, experience the Needcompany approach to "establishing one’s presence on stage".
Needcompany looks forward to launching into this experience with you!
Deadline for applications: 01/06
Rehearsals: 16/09 – 26/09
